Kettering’s EMTEC picks new vice president

Staff Report

Dean Mocko is the new vice president of manufacturing initiatives for the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC), the organization said Wednesday, April 28.

EMTEC, based in Kettering, helps materials- and energy-focused focused firms in Ohio commercialize technology or research. Mocko will oversee manufacturing-related matters for EMTEC clients, including product commercialization, technology transfer and business development, EMTEC said.

Mocko has more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering and customer service work for small and large firms, EMTEC said. He has worked for General Motors, Colt Industries, American Trim, independent consulting firms and more.

“Dean will be able to open doors to make things happen,” Frank Svet, president and chief executive of EMTEC, said in a statement from the organization.
