Many applicants, few jobs in Ohio’s biggest cities

By Staff Report

For every job advertised in Cleveland or Columbus, there are five unemployed people, while in Cincinnati that number climbs to six.

That’s according to the March Job Search Difficulty Index released by Juju.com, a job search engine.

Juju said in a release that it calculates its results by dividing the number of unemployed workers in a metro area by the number of jobs contained in its online index of jobs.

Cleveland ranked 24th in the country. Columbus was 31st and Cincinnati ranked 36th on the index.

Dayton was not included in the results published by Juju.
