Nominations sought for Miami Valley science, engineering achievers

DAYTON — An organization that promotes education in mathematics, science, engineering and technology fields is soliciting nominations of scientists and engineers who could be honored for outstanding achievements.

The Affiliate Societies Council said it is requesting nominations by Nov. 18 of scientists and engineers from the Dayton region in the areas of higher education, research, technical leadership or contribution in any recognized scientific or engineering field. Awards are to be presented in April 2012.
