By Mark Fisher

CLAYTON — Urban Harvest restaurant at 8331 N. Main St. in the Randolph Plaza will host a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, according to chef-owner Matthew DeAngulo.

The restaurant, which opened last month, is offering a free dessert — fresh-fruit bread pudding or Melrose apple crisp — to those diners who order lunch or dinner entrees Thursday. The offer is good for dine-in only and is not available for carryout orders.

DeAngulo was the founding chef at Olive restaurant in Dayton, and has worked at several other Dayton-area restaurants, including Olivia’s, Neil’s Heritage House, Zola’s, Cafe Boulevard, and Benham’s. Urban Harvest’s menu focuses on Midwestern casual food, with an emphasis on local sourcing of ingredients.

Representatives of the city of Clayton and the Northmont Chamber of Commerce will attend the ribbon-cutting. Urban Harvest’s location formerly housed the Uptown Delicatessen.

Urban Harvest is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. Catering is available. For more information, call (937) 410-0078.
