Senator to visit local manufacturer

Staff Report

On Monday morning, Sen. Sherrod Brown will visit a local manufacturer to talk about federal tax credits.

Brown’s office said he will announce the Security in Energy and Manufacturing Act, which would extend the 48C Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit — a tax credit that helped AcuTemp, in Moraine, hire more than 50 workers, the senator’s office said.

AcuTemp used $900,000 in federal tax credits to hire the workers, according to Brown’s office. Brown is to be joined by Brian Kohr, AcuTemp president, as well as a worker who was hired thanks to the tax credits. Brown will tour the plant and meet with workers.
