Stratacache to invest $2M in Huber Heights location

Staff Report

Stratacache, a local technology firm, said Tuesday it plans to spend $2 million to transform a former retail store in Huber Heights into a digital media production center.

Plans call for Stratacache to move its production operations from its East Third Street facility in Dayton to Huber Heights by November of this year.

“When considering a new location for this expansion, Stratacache chose Huber Heights, as it stood out favorably for economic, cultural and professional aspects provided by the region,” said Chris Riegel, chief executive officer. “Its proximity to our headquarters and key operational staff also made it a good fit.”

The company in a news release said the 50,000-square-foot facility will house Stratacache’s production center staff and also act as a configuration/staging site to house its digital media systems production operations. The new facility will increase Stratacache’s space five-fold.

The company said it looks to hire up to 10 more employees over the next 18 months.

Stratacache makes digital signage systems as well as Omnicast, a tool to transfer films and other content to computers and mobile phones.
