Teleperformance to hire 150

A customer call company in Fairborn plans to hire 150 new permanent full-time employees in the coming months to meet increased demand for its services, according to a company manager.

Teleperformance USA plans to grow the staff at its Fairborn location to 600 employees by March 1, said Mike Lewis, the call center’s manager. The company at 57 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road handles calls from customers of wireless companies and other clients in the health care industry.

“We are performing at such a top level for our client that they have asked us to increase the head count here at this center specifically,” Lewis said. The client is a wireless service provider, officials said.

Teleperformance has introduced a new bonus structure that offers agents in a certain business line the opportunity to make $1 per customer interaction above their base hourly rate of about $9.50 per hour. Employees could earn up to $1,000 per month in bonus money, Lewis said.

In December, the location’s monthly bonus payout was $72,000, according to Lewis. “We think we can eclipse $100,000,” he said.

Teleperformance’s average monthly payroll is $1 million to the local economy, Lewis said.

The company is looking for “highly motivated” people to fill the 150 customer service positions, and paid training is available, Lewis said.

Extended hours for testing and interviews are 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. through Friday, and from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information or to apply online, visit www.teleperformance.com.

Teleperformance, headquartered in Paris, France, has more than 135,000 employees at 260 contact centers in 49 countries. In 2011, the company reported consolidated revenue of $2.9 billion.
