Miami Twp.-based data warehousing company Teradata announced the availability of a product to help businesses deal with European regulatory requirements for insurers.

The Teradata Solvency II product enables insurers doing business in Europe to respond to “evolving and maturing Solvency II regulatory risk requirements,” the company said in an announcement.

The product is “a comprehensive portfolio of breakthrough risk management data infrastructure, hardware, software, and services providing a foundation for enterprise intelligence that can empower insurers to make the best decisions possible,” Teradata said.

Solvency II helps companies with decisions about how insurers implement a range of data warehousing services, Teradata said.

Solvency II involves European Union rules about how much capital insurance companies must have to avoid insolvency or failure.

Teradata has about 450 employees in the Dayton area and about 9,000 worldwide.
