Yaskawa Motoman, a global robotics manufacturer headquartered in Miamisburg, has entered into a partnership with Robofusion to market Reis and Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt Factory kiosks.

Reis and Irvy’s is a brand of robotic kiosks from Robofusion, a South Carolina-based interactive robotic kiosk company.

“Robofusion is the forefront of robotics for retail. We have been working with Yaskawa Motoman for months to make the Reis and Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt Factory a reality,” said Allan Jones, Robofusion’s co-founder and chief executive.

“Using Motoman’s state-of-the-art SDA5 robot allowed us to jointly create one of the most fascinating robotic kiosks ever built,” Jones said.

Introduced on Oct. 28 at the Pack Expo trade show in Chicago, the Reis and Irvy’s Frozen Yogurt Factory allows users to select up to two flavors or yogurt and two toppings, choose a robot character, and then an SDA5 robot, aka “Cid,” “artfully” delivers the order in a souvenir cup, officials said.

Motoman Robotics employs about 300 people locally.
