Chick-fil-A ‘pop-up’ scales back hours of its Fairborn Theatre location

The Chick-fil-A pop-up lunch operation that launched in early October inside the long-dormant Fairborn Theatre has trimmed its hours to Wednesday through Friday only.

The pop-up restaurant had been open Monday through Friday. Fairborn city officials said in a post on its municipal Facebook page Monday that they had been told by Chick-fil-A officials sales on Monday and Tuesday "did not currently warrant being open those two days."

City officials encouraged residents to patronize the pop-up Wednesday through Friday, when the location serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“Show your support and help them build a following here in Fairborn!” city officials said.

“We are currently exploring future options for a permanent location here in Fairborn,” the city manager said.

The area near Broad and Main streets has been a particular focus of the city, which has purchased and torn down four motels in the Broad Street area to pave the way for re-development. City officials have said they want to re-develop the theater, not shut it down.
