Women’s relationship 
class offered

BELLBROOK — The women’s relationship-building program, Within My Reach, will be offered to Greene County residents in July at the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Family Resource Center.

Within My Reach is presented by the Marriage Resource Center of the Miami Valley and teaches communication, conflict management and decision-making skills appropriate to women who are dating, married, divorced, living with someone or just looking.

The class will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on four consecutive Thursdays, starting July 2, at the Family Resource Center, 51 S. East St.

Registration is required, and day care will be provided to those who specify such a need. For more information or to register, call (937) 324-3604.

Parks host 
local programs

Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District programs are at the Community Center, 2751 Washington Mill Road, unless noted. For more information, call the park district at (937) 848-3535 or visit www.bellbrooksugarcreekparks.org.

• The district will host a free wild edibles program on Saturday, June 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. Naturalist, Kendra Schide will teach you and your family about wild edibles and safety rules for picking wild berries, as well as dangerous plants to avoid. No registration is required. 

• A six-week Yoga for Seniors class, from 9 to 
10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, starts June 23. Designed specifically for senior adults from age 50 and older, this class will offer stress-management tips, strength and flexibility instruction, as well as balance and stretching techniques.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring a mat or blanket. Steve Chappell is the instructor. The cost is $60 for six weeks, or a $12 drop-in fee for a single day. Registration is required by Monday. 

• Parks will offer Hatha yoga classes from 7 to 
8:30 p.m. Tuesdays for 6 weeks starting on June 23. This class will be an eclectic style of yoga and meditation. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring a mat or blanket. Steve Chappell is the instructor. The cost is $60 for six weeks, or a $12 drop-in fee for a single day. Registration is required by June 22.  

• Zumba sessions start in June at the Community Center. Monday classes are June 22 through July 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday classes are June 24 through July 29 from 9 to 10 a.m. A new night class will be Thursdays, June 25 through July 30, at 6 to 7 p.m. Friday classes are June 26 through July 31 from 9 to 10 a.m. Burn 500 to 700 calories per hour combining high energy Latin and international music with unique moves. Wear athletic shoes. The instructor is Christi Siler. Register the day before each class begins. For ages 11 to adults. Cost is $45 per six-week class.
