CENTERVILLE — Centerville Schools’ jazz ensembles will perform at the new JazzCakes pancake breakfast and music event on Saturday, March 20, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave.
The event will begin at 9 a.m., with breakfast served through noon. The cost is $5 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the band programs in Centerville schools.
The student bands will give performances throughout the morning. The Tower Heights Middle School Jazz Ensemble will start the day with a 9 a.m. performance, followed every 25 minutes by a new group — the Centerville High School Jazz III Ensemble at 9:25, the Watts Jazz Ensemble at 9:50, the CHS Jazz Combo at 10:15, the CHS Jazz II Ensemble at 10:40, the Magsig Ensemble at 11:05 and the CHS Jazz I Ensemble at 11:30.
Centerville is celebrating March as Music in Our Schools Month.
