CEDARVILLE — The Cedarville Twp. Fire Department said Waste Management has donated two commercial boxes for its fire training programs.

“We experience Dumpster fires a few times a year, so the four and six yard donated boxes will be used in setting training fires to practice and learn,” according to Chief Scott Baldwin.

“We are very appreciative of Waste Management’s support of our training initiativ es so we can be well prepared for all situations,” he said.

“With our company’s priority on safety, we certainly value the work of our local safety forces and the important role they have in our community. This was the perfect opportunity to provide a needed resource,” said Brian Schlise, district manager of Waste Management in Fairborn.

The department has two salaried employees and 45 volunteers and serves approximately 9,500 people including Cedarville University.
