OAKWOOD — The Oakwood Historical Society’s annual Old-Fashion Picnic will be Sunday, July 12 at the Long-Romspert Homestead, 1947 Far Hills Ave.

The event, which is open to the public, will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

The cost is $13 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

The historical society’s invitation read, “The gardens are as lovely as always and the front porch and wicker furniture beckon all to come, sit, relax and enjoy a summer’s evening with friends, neighbors and newcomers.”

Food will be provided by The Belly Fire Grill, 30 Monteray Ave. So far, the menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, cole slaw, potato salad, chips, pretzels and ice cream sandwiches.
