RELATED: RTA DRIVERS STRIKE: New talks Wednesday to mediate bus driver dispute
Montgomery County VSC Executive Director Herb Davis told commissioners Wednesday they had about $4,500 set aside for the service but had no idea what the final cost would be because no one knows how long the strike will last. He said Anton’s usually costs between $35 and $50 for a ride.
They are unable, however, to help veterans who rely on the RTA for non-medical appointments, Davis said. He said the VSC distributes several dozen bus passes every month to local veterans who rely on them to get to jobs or other services.
