Drive thru assault reported at Dayton Rally’s

An assistant manager at the North Gettysburg Avenue Rally’s claims she was assaulted by a customer after that customer became agitated with her drive thru order.

According to a Dayton police report, the suspect became belligerent with the assistant manager after the woman claimed she was unhappy with her service. The assistant manager claimed the suspect exited her vehicle and walked to the front window to continue arguing after the assistant manager asked her to leave the restaurant, 1205 North Gettysburg, around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The assistant manager locked the front window and went to help the next drive thru customer, when she claims the suspect came around the corner and assaulted her through the window of the drive thru, the report said.

Police later found the suspect, after she reported a separate incident later in the day to police, the report said.

The assistant manager said the incident was recorded on video, however no official charges have been filed in the reported assault.
