Fairborn man convicted of child rape

A 65-year-old Fairborn man was convicted in Greene County Common Pleas Court today convicted of raping a child under age 10 and could be facing the maximum penalty — a life sentence.

Michael D. Lancaster was also convicted on gross sexual imposition of a child under age 13, and use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance.

The charges stem from a 2013 incident, according to court records.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 3.

“The community we serve is safer today because of this conviction,” said Greene County Prosecutor Stephen Haller.
