DAYTON — A 24-year-old man is being held at the Montgomery County Jail on drug possession and child endangerment charges after leaving a 3-year-old child and pit bulls in a vehicle while he went to buy heroin, according to police.
Taylor Beatty-Frazier was taken into police custody on Thursday after Dayton police conducted a traffic stop, after 3:50 p.m., on his vehicle on Pleasant Avenue behind Wilbur Wright Middle School, and found three caps of heroin in his vehicle, according to a city police report.
“When Taylor got the dogs out, the bigger dog became aggressive and attempted to bite Officer Saylors,” wrote Dayton Police Officer Stephen Quigney in the incident report. “Taylor then regained control of his dog and took them away from the vehicle and sat on a close bench.”
During a search of the vehicle officers found three caps of heroin inside the interior door panel pull, according to police.
