McDonald’s owner IDs burglary suspect from security video

A man was arrested shortly after a break-in at the McDonald’s restaurant, 1219 N. Gettysburg Ave.

Daniel D. Combs, 25, was arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering moments after the restaurant was burglarized early Friday morning, according to the Dayton police report.

Police said Combs was walking in the area when a responding officer detained him.

The restaurant owner, who saw the intruders on security video from his home, was able to positively identify Combs as one of the intruders, according to the report.

Additionally, police said a footprint on the drive’through window matched the shoes that Combs was wearing.

Several items were taken in the burglary, including a laptop, iPad, clothing and two pairs of Nike shoes, according to the report.
