New Lebanon man turns himself in to Dayton police for child porn

A New Lebanon man, who is identified as a bus driver who works around children, turned himself in after reportedly confessing to Dayton police that he is addicted to child pornography, according to a police incident report.

He told police he viewed the websites on his cell phone and laptop, according to the report filed Monday. The man also told police that he works around children at a southwest transportation company. This news organization is not identifying the man by name because it isn’t clear that he’s been charged.

The man told his pastor of his church, who he also drives a bus for, he has had an addiction problem to porn and is seeking help, according to the report. The pastor immediately told him he can no longer drive the church bus.

The pastor then consulted a police officer, who also attends the church, and the officer advised the pastor to have the man turn himself in.

According to the report, the man has turned over his cellphone and laptop to police.
