A Dayton woman told police three of her Facebook friends drove off with her Ford 500 while it was warming up with the keys inside, according to a report.

A neighbor girl, who hitched a ride home from the three men, told police one of the boys said “look, the vehicle is running” when they dropped her off. The neighbor girl told police she yelled at her chauffeurs not to take the car, but they did anyway despite their assurances to her that they wouldn’t.

According to the police report, once the men took off they called the neighborhood girl and told her “we got the car, but we ain’t bringing it back.”

The incident happened early Thursday morning on the 400 blocks of South Broadway Street and South Williams Street, near Germantown Street.

The car’s owner told police the vehicle has dents on the front and rear driver’s side as well as black window tint and a sunroof. The responding police officer put an alert out to other officers to keep an eye out for the car.
