Three suspects have been indicted on charges related to the shooting death of a Logan County man found dead in his home on Thanksgiving morning.

Zachariah Huddleston, 22, and Marquevous Watkins, 21, have been indicted on charges of murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery, with a specification that the crimes involved a firearm, Logan County Assistant Prosecutor Eric Stewart said.

Alexus Walton, 19, has been charged with complicity to commit murder, complicity to commit aggravated robbery and complicity to commit aggravated burglary, he said.

Jeff Brentlinger, 45, was found fatally shot in the chest his home on Thanksgiving morning.

“The victim actually had a video recording system in his home and so the incident was captured on video and that’s being reviewed as evidence,” Stewart said.

Two other juveniles charged in the case have been lodged at the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center. The prosecutor’s office has submitted a petition to move their cases to adult court, Stewart said.

This wasn’t a random robbery, Stewart said, adding that Brentlinger is believed to have met two of the suspects online.

Detectives from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office continue to follow up on leads in the case and put their reports together, Logan County Sheriff Andrew Smith said.

The three are expected to be arraigned in Logan County Common Pleas Court soon.
