Ali, 61, previously served 20 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter when he was known as Robert Ford Jr.

He’s being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $2 million bond.

Ali went to Day-Mont Behavioral Health Care on the day of the slayings and was throwing chairs and repeatedly yelling, “I want my medication!” according to 911 calls from the facility. Police took Ali to Grandview Medical Center, where he was later released.

After Taylor, Tammy Cox and Michael Cox were shot, Ali went back to Day-Mont, where police apprehended him as he entered the building.

The family of Jasper Taylor is suing for Ali's medical records, trying to determine why he was released.

A court hearing has been scheduled for March 14 for Ali to be arraigned on the charges which are: six counts aggravated murder, six counts aggravated burglary, two counts kidnapping, eight counts felonious assault, one count failure to comply with police order and one count having weapons under disability.

Most of the counts carry additional firearm specifications, repeat violent offender specifications and aggravated circumstance specifications.
