4 injured in overnight home invasion
Hot Topics
Dayton police are looking for three men who broke into a home in the 3200 block of East Third Street overnight and beat and robbed four men, sending one of them to a hospital.
Three suspects carrying a handgun and a large knife broke open the rear door around 3 a.m. while the residents were sleeping and then attacked, according to Dayton police Sgt. Clarence West.
Four men were injured, with one of them suffering a severe head laceration from being pistol-whipped. None of the injuries was life-threatening, and West said the other three men refused treatment.
The suspects took cash and three necklaces and fled the scene.
It was the second time in a month that the house has been victimized. The previous incident was a break-in through the same door while no one was home, and West said that crime may have been committed by the same three people. West said police could only describe the suspects as two white males and one black male.
