DAYTON — A car smashed into a house in the 1900 block of East Siebenthaler Avenue early Wednesday morning, July 1, injuring the driver and frightening the resident of the house, according to a Dayton police dispatch supervisor.
The elderly resident of the house called police at 2:45 a.m. to report that a car had run off the street and across her yard and had crashed against the front porch, the dispatcher said.
According to a news report on WHIO Channel 7, the female driver apparently crossed two lanes of traffic and went across two yards before hitting the house.
The driver was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life threatening, police said. The resident of the house was not hurt.
