Death of man found in car being investigated as a homicide

GREENVILLE, Darke County — The death of Patrick Cheadle, who was found in his vehicle Nov. 3, is being investigated as a homicide.

The cause of death for the 54-year-old Ansonia man, who was in the vehicle that was parked in the 400 block of Elm Street, has not been released.

Police were called to the scene about 5:03 p.m. on report of a possibly deceased subject.

The Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory released Cheadle’s name Friday, Nov. 6.

The crime is under investigation by Greenville police, the Darke County Coroner’s Office, county sheriff’s office and the crime laboratory.
