HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County— Sheriff’s deputies are searching for people involved in a carjacking incident that took place early Thursday at the intersection of Waverly Avenue and Redder Avenue.

The victim was a 20-year-old man who said he was in his black 2003 Black Land Rover at the intersection when he was approached by four males on foot. At least one of the suspects displayed a handgun before the victim was blindfolded and forced into the back seat of the vehicle.

It is unclear if all the men got into the Land Rover.

Deputies believe the victim was driven around before he was released at Fairview Avenue and North Main Street at approximately 2 a.m.

Deputies later discovered the Land Rover unoccupied on Willowwood Drive near Fairview Avenue.

No other information was immediately available.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Harrison Twp. subdivision of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 890-1287.
