SPRINGBORO — Drug agents say they caught a Springboro man cooking methamphetamine at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 in his home, within 15 feet of an 8-year-old boy and one-month-old infant.
Robert Hubbard, 35, of Springboro is in the Warren County jail this morning on $325,000 bond, charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs with a child, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and child endangering.
Agents from the Warren County Drug Task Force, Middletown Police Department and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation raid the home at 9192 Clearcreek-Franklin Road, according to task force Commander John Burke.
“He was actively cooking meth amphetamine when he arrived,” Burke said.
Agents found the children nearby and turned them over to the Warren County Department of Childrens Services.
Burke said the manufacturing operation was hazardous for neighbors, as well as the children.
