Fairborn gas station robbed by masked man

FAIRBORN — A man described as in his early 20s staged an early morning robbery of the Speedway Gas Station at 1367 East Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., according to Fairborn police.

The suspect, who was wearing a mask, entered the station at 2:22 a.m., approached the clerk and said he wanted all the money in the register. The clerk handed the money to the robber who then fled on foot, according to a Fairborn police report.

The Greene County K9 unit responded to try to track the subject, but was unsuccessful, the report said.

The subject was described as in his early 20s, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8 inches tall, with a slim build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with dark colored pants.
