Former corrections officer indicted 
on rape charges

GREENVILLE — A former probationary corrections officer with the Darke County Jail has been indicted on two counts of rape, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Ryan D. Hunt, 27, of New Madison is accused of assaulting a woman in southern Darke County in late June.

He resigned from the sheriff’s office on July 2 after he was placed on paid administrative leave June 29.

A county grand jury returned the indictment on July 23, according to the sheriff’s office.
