VANDALIA: Police stopped a young female motorist for speeding and discovered she only had a temporary driver’s license, which had expired.

When the officer asked her to call either a relative or friend to pick her up, she could not find any takers. She said her boyfriend was at another friend’s apartment and was ill.

She said he had a valid driver’s license. Police said they would pick him up so he could ride in the car next to her and it would avoid her car being towed.

After an officer arrived to pick up her boyfriend, it was discovered not only was he sick, but he had a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a summons and returned to his apartment. His girlfriend was arrested.
