LEBANON — An inmate at Lebanon Correctional Institution was stabbed by another inmate Friday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway patrol.

The inmate was taken to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown around 7 a.m., according to Lt. Doug McKinney of the OSHP. The inmate was not believed to have life threatening injuries, McKinney said.

LCI, located on Ohio 63 west of Lebanon, is a close security prison, which is one step below maximum security. OSHP officers are still on site investigating the stabbing. The names of the prisoners have not been released.
