BEAVERCREEK — Surveillance video of two males who stole from a Beavercreek Helzberg Diamonds store early Tuesday doesn’t show many details, but illustrates how quickly the men acted.
The two men took turns throwing a rock to finally smash a window at the store at 3286 Pentagon Blvd. They entered about 15 seconds before 2:32 a.m. The man wearing a light shirt and long shorts left after about a minute, and the taller man in dark clothing left just after 2:33 a.m.
“The investigation is ongoing,” said Beavercreek police Sgt. Jim Wuebben, who showed two different videos to media members Thursday, July 29. “There’s no new information.”
The video shows the men removing items from at least one jewelry display case with hands covered in what appeared to be gloves. Police didn’t know whether the men fled on foot or in a vehicle.
Anyone with information can call the Beavercreek police at (937) 426-1225.
