EATON — Longtime Preble County Common Pleas Court Judge David N. Abruzzo pleaded guilty today, Jan. 6, to a lesser charge in connection with a September drunk driving arrest.

Abruzzo, 61, was arrested on Sept. 18 on U.S. 127 north of the Eaton city limits. He was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired, and failure to yield to a public safety vehicle. However, he entered the guilty plea to physical control, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to municipal court records. The failure to yield to a public safety vehicle charge was dismissed.
