TROY — A 46-year-old Troy man accused of engaging in sexual conduct with two teen girls and photographing them in various states of nudity could be sentenced to more than 200 years in prison after pleading Tuesday, Aug. 10, to 23 felonies including 11 counts of rape.
Charles D. Hilbert was accused of first raping one of the girls when she was 13, with the assaults continuing until recently. The 11 rape charges stem from those incidents.
The alleged sexual conduct with a second girl occurred when she was 15, resulting in two sexual battery charges.
Hilbert was scheduled to go on trial starting Tuesday in Miami County Common Pleas Court.
He faced 29 felony charges, with six dismissed as part of a plea deal. He pleaded no contest and was found guilty of 11 counts of rape along with counts of sexual battery illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
If sentenced to the maximum term on each count, Hilbert could face up to 203 years in prison and fines of $395,000, according to court documents.
He will be sentenced Sept. 27.
