MASSIE TWP. — A Spring Valley man on Sunday, July 18, was the second victim of a boat propeller accident in the past week at Caesar Creek Lake.
Sean Lantz, 38, was taken to Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, after cutting his left foot on a boat propeller about 5 p.m., according to Melissa Kocher, supervisor of the Springfield office of the Ohio Division of Watercraft.
Kocher said Lantz was treated and released from the hospital and that the incident occurred in the north end of the lake. She said no other information was available as the incident remains under investigation by state watercraft officers.
This was the second accident in a week at the lake in which a boater was cut by a propeller, according to Kocher
The previous weekend, Tyler Baird, 24, of Centerville, received a cut to his right leg from a moving propeller in the south end of the lake, Kocher said. He was treated and released for his injury at Southview Hospital in Miami Twp. in Montgomery County.
