XENIA – Another member of a multi-county drug ring, dismantled by police in 2007, has pleaded guilty for his role in the distribution of cocaine and heroin from two Kettering homes.
Jose De Jesus Rios, 59, was sentenced to four years in prison and fined $105,000 by Greene County Common Pleas Court Judge Stephen A. Wolaver after pleading guilty to racketeering, drug trafficking and money laundering charges.
Rios faced a maximum sentence of 54 years in prison if found guilty of all eight felonies he was originally charged.
Rios was part of an organization headed by Cesar Valentine Lopez-Ruiz and Adrian Little, who operated a drug ring from two Kettering homes, 925 Donson and 2027 Hamlet. Police raided the properties in 2007 and discovered $1 million in cash, cocaine and heroin. Ruiz is serving a 20-year sentence and Little 12 years after pleading guilty to charges.
Rios was caught in San Diego in May 2009 while trying to re-enter the U.S. from Mexico. Other members of the drug ring are still wanted by police.
