DAYTON — A man was in Miami Valley Hospital Sunday night, Dec. 6, after being shot in the leg once.

Dayton Police Lt. Brian Johns said the young male told police he was shot somewhere in the area of Kenilworth Ave. about 8 p.m. He said he didn’t know the shooter.

He went to Grandview Hospital and was transferred to Miami Valley, where he was scheduled to undergo surgery for the injury that Johns described as non-life threatening.

Police were trying to locate the scene of the shooting Sunday night.
