Man who beat 6-month-old child formally charged

XENIA — A 19-year-old Sugarcreek Twp. man was indicted this week on felony child endangering and assault charges accusing him of fracturing his 6-month-old daughter’s skull while beating her.
Shawn Koval remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
A week ago, prosecutors said the girl was in critical condition at Children’s Medical Center of Dayton.
