MIAMISBURG — Miamisburg police have arrested a Miamisburg woman on allegations of forgery and money laundering and booked her into the Montgomery County Jail, where her son is being held on charges of fatally stabbing her husband.
Police arrested Pandora Jean Zan, 44, of 7123 Springboro Pike, about 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, in the parking lot of the T.J. Maxx store at 131 N. Springboro Pike after she allegedly passed fraudulent $50 bills, said Miamisburg Detective Sgt. Tom Thompson.
No charges have been filed in the case, slated to go to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office today, Jan. 5, said Assistant Prosecutor Dan Brandt.
County prosecutors on Oct. 21 approved aggravated murder charges against Zan’s son, Cody Wayne Henderson, 19, of Madison Twp. in Butler County, in the Oct. 17 early morning stabbing death of his stepfather, Charles S. Zan II, 45, of Miamisburg.
Charles Zan, a former state prison guard at Warren Correctional Institution in Lebanon, was stabbed more than 40 times in his bed in the couple’s apartment.
Pandora Zan, who served nearly 14 months in 2003 and early 2004 for the armed robbery of a clothing store in Warren County, called 911 after her husband was stabbed. Zan told police that intruders came into the apartment, knocked her down and caused her to black out.
Henderson has remained in the Montgomery County Jail since his Oct. 20 arrest.
Public records show the Zans lived in turmoil for much of their seven-year marriage, facing home foreclosure, bankruptcies and separations. On her personal Web site, pandisbipolarlife.com, Pandora Zan said her mental health problems were to blame for most of their troubles.
