MORAINE — Police are looking for three people who smashed a stolen Chevy Blazer into the Shamrock gas station in the 4500 block of South Dixie Drive at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Sgt. Craig Richardson of Moraine police said the suspects stole cigarettes and left on foot. The Blazer, which had been stolen in Dayton hours earlier, got stuck when they crashed it into the store, which is a few blocks north of the Ohio 741 intersection.
Richardson said the store has surveillance cameras, and police are trying to retrieve the footage to get descriptions of the suspects.
This is the second theft from this Shamrock station in the past two months. Richardson said someone threw a brick through a window to steal cigarettes in May, and police are investigating how the incidents are related.
