Oakwood police seek Smartbook thief

The Oakwood Public Safety Department is investigating the theft of three Smartbooks from the CVS Pharmacy at 2801 Far Hills Ave.

The theft occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Monday, and the suspect was captured on store surveillance video as he entered the store.

The suspect allegedly concealed three Sylvania Smartbooks, which are small portable computers, under his clothing and exited the business. Additional surveillance video shows the subject riding away from CVS on a bicycle.

The suspect is a white male of average height and weight. He was wearing a brown or olive drab hooded sweatshirt and white ball cap, with a Nike swoosh on the front.

Oakwood police are asking for help in identifying this individual.

Anyone who recognizes the subject or has any other information on the crime is asked to call the Oakwood Public Safety Department at (937) 298-2122.
