The Montgomery County SWAT team arrested a naked, intoxicated man after a four-and-a-half-hour standoff Sunday morning, April 19.
Brookville police were called to 5 1/2 Osage St. at 4:01 a.m. on a report of a naked man hanging out of a second-story window threatening to kill his neighbor, said police Sgt. Michael Miller. Police called in the SWAT team and hostage negotiators, obtained a warrant and entered the home at 8:27 a.m., arresting the man without incident, Miller said. No weapons were found.
During the standoff, the man threatened to kill two police officers, Miller said.
He identified the man as Gregory C. Wagner, 50, of the Osage Street address. Wagner was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on three counts of aggravated menacing and one count of inducing a panic.
Police had to evacuate residents of about six surrounding homes during the standoff, Miller said.
