TROTWOOD — Police are investigating a reported rape of a female student by at least two male students that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Trotwood-Madison High School but after school recessed.

“We called in two suspects, but they both evoked their right to a lawyer,” said Trotwood police Capt. Erik Wilson. “The investigation is ongoing, and we put a rush on crime lab reports.”

Trotwood-Madison Superintendent Rexann Wagner said the district is taking the allegations very seriously, but, “at this moment in time, there’s not enough evidence yet that would support or refute the allegations, so we’re allowing that investigation to continue. Once that investigation is completed, we’ll look at the evidence and take action on what the evidence shows us.

“The students involved here have not been suspended from school. I think that would be premature based on the evidence so far.”
