DAYTON — A Miamisburg woman police said passed counterfeit $50 bills at a local retailer will face a fifth-degree felony forgery charge.
Pandora Jean Zan, 44, of 7123 Springboro Pike, was arrested Sunday, Jan. 3, in the parking lot of T.J. Maxx, 131 N. Springboro Pike, after she was accused of passing the fake cash, Miamisburg police Detective Sgt. Tom Thompson said.
Zan still could face other charges, including money laundering, said Greg Flannagan, spokesman for the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, which approved the forgery charge Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Zan remained in the Montgomery County Jail.
Arraignment in Miamisburg Municipal Court is set tentatively for Thursday, Jan. 7.
Following arraignment, the case will head to a grand jury, Flannagan said.
Zan’s son, Cody Wayne Henderson, 19, of Madison Twp. in Butler County, also is in the county jail accused of aggravated murder in the Oct. 17 stabbing of her husband, Charles S. Zan II, 45, of Miamisburg.
Charles Zan was Henderson’s stepfather.
