The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of vandalism that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 29.
At 10:15 a.m., sheriff’s dispatchers said they had received about 20 calls complaining of broken windows in vehicles and homes, and more calls were continuing to come in.
The damage stretched up the west side of the county from the Palestine area up to Union City.
Sheriff’s officials said they weren’t sure yet if any of the cases were theft- or burglary-related, or whether vandalism was the only motive.
The cases remain under investigation. If you have information, contact the Darke County Sheriff’s Office at (937) 548-2020.
