FAIRBORN — A late Thursday night argument between a husband and wife in which the man threatened to do harm to himself brought out the Fairborn Police and the Regional Emergency Response Team at 11:52 p.m. to a residence at 806 Cleary Drive, according to Sgt. Matt Ricketts of the Fairborn Police Department.
Ricketts said the swat team made entrance into to residence via a front door key at about 3 a.m. and took control of the husband, Ryan Bowen, 26. He was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation, Ricketts said.
“No weapons were involved,” Ricketts said.
Bowen’s wife, who made the call to police, stating her husband was distraught and upset and threatened to do harm to himself, was able to walk out of the house with their six-week-old baby before police arrived, Ricketts said.
He said the case will have to be reviewed by prosecutors to see whether any charges will be filed against the man.
