120 area companies violated labor laws, analysis finds

More than 2,000 workers in the Miami Valley in the last five years were not paid more than $2.3 million in wages owed to them by companies that failed to pay overtime or minimum wage or violated other federal compensation laws, according to a Dayton Daily News analysis.

Some legal experts who represent employers said very few wage violations result from companies deliberately cheating their workers out of money.
