CLAYTON — A Northmont Middle School 7th grade student was taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Intervention Center on Friday, May 15, on a charge of assault after she allegedly attacked another student and injured a teacher who tried to intervene, according to a Clayton police report.
The report said an argument broke out between two 7th grade girls during lunch Friday while the girls were outside the building at 4810 National Road. When the two girls re-entered the building, the argument continued and escalated in a hallway.
At some point, one of the girls physically attacked the other, striking her “at least three times in the arm and shoulder area,” the report said.
A female teacher then attempted to get between the girls to stop the assault, but the girl who threw the punches kept trying to get to the other girl. The report said the girl pushed the teacher twice by her shoulders, and the teacher complained of back injuries.
The girl who was attacked had minor visible injuries, and the girl who was arrested showed no injuries, the report said.
The teacher and other staff members were eventually able to move the attacking student into a room, but the girl continued trying to get out of the room to continue her attack on the other student, the report said.
Police said the attack was caught on surveillance cameras, and video recordings of the incident were collected as evidence.
Police filed two counts of two juvenile charges of assault against the girl in juvenile court.

Might as well reserve a cell downtown for this one; I'm afraid she'll never get anywhere in life except as a dancer.
