DAYTON — The National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a dense fog advisory that is in effect until 9 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at a close distance.

The drive in from Centerville to Dayton on Far Hills Avenue was a bit foggy but you could see traffic lights about two blocks ahead while driving at 5:45 a.m.

Greenville schools in Darke County had a two hour delay because of thick fog there and Xenia schools in Greene County were also on a delay.

Thick fog causes reduced visibility and hazardous driving, the weather service advised. Visibilities were reduced to below a quarter of a mile at times but are expected to gradually improve from south to north later this morning.Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down.

I remember going to school in B'creek in the 70's when we get huge snowfall several times a year. Never was there a "fog" day. Jeez folks, come on!
It's because people are so lawsuit happy anymore.
Never mind that little Johnny was doing 75mph on back country roads. It's still the schools fault for not cancelling.
Unfrickingbelievable.
Driving in to work this morning at about 7AM, I had A LOT of visibility.
No wonder kids in the US do so poorly in school compared to other countries...
